Community Ride

Introducing Community Rides, a ride series designed for riders of all ages and abilities. These rides aim to foster a sense of community and cater to the unique needs of all riders. These rides will naturally evolve, allowing participants to stay with the group for as long as they wish. We also warmly welcome those using e-bikes, scooters, one-wheelers, and similar modes of transport. On these rides, you can chat with the individuals already involved with Ride Broomfield to learn more about what we are up to.

Everyone will start on the 1.3-mile loop. You can even bring your little ones on striders and join us for a ride around the 1.3-mile loop. This starter loop is open to all, and those who are up for it can continue to the 8 or 15-mile loop, mainly on bike paths and quieter streets. Loops will be casual, no-drop rides. We encourage families to join us and make this a fun and memorable experience for everyone.

After the ride, we will stop by Wonderland Brewing to socialize off the bike.

Gravel and MTB rides are also in the future of Ride Broomfield, but let’s keep it simple and get to know each other.

Ride for Magnus

Magnus, a talented cyclist, was tragically taken from us when a driver crashed into the back of him. His story underscores the urgent need for better road safety measures. In his honor, an advocacy bike ride is scheduled for August 11th, 2024, with the purpose of promoting better laws and infrastructure to protect cyclists and vulnerable road users. The ride will be followed by a rally featuring guest speakers such as Jared Polis and Trek President John Burke, who will advocate for improved road safety measures and inspire us all to make a difference.

These rides will naturally evolve, allowing participants to stay with the group for as long as they wish. We also extend a warm welcome to those using e-bikes, scooters, one-wheelers, and similar modes of transport. On these rides, you can chat with the individuals already involved with Ride Broomfield to learn more about what we are up to.

If the kids show up, everyone will start on the 1.3-mile loop. This starter loop is open to all, and those who are up for it can continue to the 7.5-mile loop, mainly on a bike path. Both loops will be casual, no-drop rides. We encourage families to join us and make this a fun and memorable experience for everyone. If people want to ride more, there is a 15-mile option from the 7.5-mile loop as well.

[Routes are subject to slight changes]

We also plan to introduce a loop between the 1.3-mile and 15-mile distances once we have more ride leaders. Gravel and MTB rides are also in the future of Ride Broomfield, but for now, let’s keep it simple and get to know each other.
